Payments
Payments are handled by a secure third-party payment gateway. Card details go straight to the payment gateway and are never shared or stored here. Only your name, email, country, what you bought and the amount paid are received.
Using the site
- No advertising. There's no Facebook or advertising tracking.
- Your currency choice is saved on your own device, so prices stay in your currency next time. It never leaves your device.
- Your own Veg Card note is saved on your device. To translate it into the card's language, the note text (and only the note) is sent to a free translation service.
- Links out: Instagram and other linked sites have their own privacy policies.
The Where's My Spinach? app and Veg Lens
- Your photos stay on your phone. Ingredient labels you snap or upload are read on your own device. Photos are never uploaded, received or stored.
- No account needed. No name or email is asked for, and there's no advertising.
- Camera and photos. Your camera or photo library is only used when you tap "Take a photo" or "Upload photo".
- Saved on your device. Your diet choice (vegetarian, vegan or Jain) and last country are kept on your phone so the app remembers them. Deleting the app clears them.
- Internet. If a label can't be read on the phone, a free text-reading tool may be downloaded to read it. Your photo still stays on your phone.
